Wir haben damit schon Tausenden Familien den Erwerb der eigenen vier Wände erleichtert. Und mehr noch - mit dem Baukindergeld entlasten wir den Mietwohnungsmarkt in Deutschland und schaffen für die Familien langfristig eine solide Altersvorsorge. Das Baukindergeld ist damit einer der zentralen Pfeiler der Wohnungspolitik dieser Bundesregierung."
Vorstandsmitglied der KfW Bankengruppe Ingrid Hengster sagte: "Wir freuen uns, dass das Baukindergeld die gewünschten Zielgruppen erreicht. Insbesondere junge Familien mit kleinen Kindern werden bei der Schaffung von Wohneigentum unterstützt. Das ist ein großer Erfolg." Die Bilanz der Förderung nach einem Jahr könne sich sehen lassen: Das Ziel, vor allem junge Familien mit kleineren und mittleren Einkommen mit dem Baukindergeld zu unterstützen, werde erreicht: 35 Prozent der Familien haben Kinder bis zu zwei Jahren, 65 Prozent haben Kinder bis zu 6 Jahren. 70 Prozent der Antragsteller seien zwischen 25 und 40 Jahre alt. Mehr als 80 Prozent der geförderten Familien haben ein oder zwei Kinder, rund 60 Prozent ein zu versteuerndes Haushaltseinkommen in Höhe von bis zu 40.000 Euro. Die meisten Anträge kommen aus Nordrhein-Westfalen (29.728), gefolgt von Baden-Württemberg (18.072), Bayern (17.974) und Niedersachsen (16.569).
So verteilen sich die Anträge
- Kreisfreie Großstädte: 16 Prozent
- Städtische Kreise: 44 Prozent
- Ländliche Kreise mit Verdichtungsansätzen: 21 Prozent
- Dünn besiedelte ländliche Kreise: 19 Prozent
Seit Jahresbeginn sei Baukindergeld zu 24 Prozent für Neubauvorhaben und zu 76 Prozent für den Kauf von Bestandsimmobilien beantragt worden. Die Neubauquote habe sich mit den zunehmenden Baufertigstellungen in 2019 erhöht und entspreche dem Marktdurchschnitt beim Erwerb von Wohneigentum.
Das Baukindergeld ist eine Förderung des Bundesministeriums des Innern, für Bau und Heimat, um den Bau oder Kauf von selbstgenutztem Wohneigentum für Familien mit Kindern in Deutschland zu unterstützen. Ziel sei es vor allem, die im europäischen Vergleich sehr niedrige Wohneigentumsquote von jungen Familien in Deutschland zu erhöhen. Seit dem 18. September 2018 kann das Baukindergeld bei der KfW Bankengruppe online beantragt werden.
Familien mit zwei Kindern erhalten 24.000 Euro Baukindergeld
Pro Jahr erhalte eine Familie 1.200 Euro je Kind. Das Baukindergeld werde zehn Jahre lang gezahlt, sodass Familien mit einem Kind insgesamt 12.000 Euro, Familien mit zwei Kindern 24.000 Euro erhielten. Einen Antrag auf Baukindergeld könnten Familien stellen, die zwischen dem 1. Januar 2018 und dem 31. Dezember 2020 ihren Kaufvertrag unterzeichnet beziehungsweise eine Baugenehmigung erhalten haben. Die Anträge würden bei der KfW - immer nach Einzug innerhalb von sechs Monaten in die geförderte Immobilie - online über das KfW-Zuschussportal gestellt. pm, ots, mei

Around 135,000 families in Germany had applied for support within one year since the introduction of the construction child allowance. This means that the applicants have been granted subsidies totalling around 2.8 billion euros. We have already made it easier for thousands of families to buy their own four walls. And what's more - with the construction child benefit we are relieving the rental housing market in Germany and creating a solid long-term retirement provision for the families. Construction child benefit is thus one of the central pillars of this federal government's housing policy."
Ingrid Hengster, member of the Board of Managing Directors of KfW Bankengruppe, said: "We are pleased that the construction child benefit is reaching the desired target groups. In particular, young families with small children are supported in the creation of home ownership. This is a great success." The results of the support after one year are impressive: The goal of supporting above all young families with smaller and middle incomes with the building child allowance was achieved: 35 percent of the families have children up to two years of age, 65 percent have children up to 6 years of age. 70 percent of the applicants are between 25 and 40 years old. - Municipal districts: 44 percent
- Rural districts with compaction approaches: 21 percent
- Sparsely populated rural areas: 19 percent
Since the beginning of the year, 24 percent of the construction child allowance had been applied for for new construction projects and 76 percent for the purchase of existing properties. The proportion of new construction had increased with the increasing completion of construction projects in 2019 and corresponded to the market average for the purchase of residential property. The construction child allowance is a subsidy from the Federal Ministry of the Interior for construction and home to support the construction or purchase of owner-occupied residential property for families with children in Germany. The main aim is to increase the rate of home ownership by young families in Germany, which is very low by European standards. Since 18 September 2018, it has been possible to apply online for construction child benefit from KfW Bankengruppe.
Families with two children receive EUR 24,000 in construction child benefit
One family receives 1,200 euros per child per year. The construction child benefit is paid for ten years, so that families with one child receive a total of 12,000 euros, families with two children 24,000 euros. Families who signed their purchase contract or received a building permit between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2020 could apply for construction child benefit.
