Leemhuis sieht Antisemitismus nicht nur bei Rechtsextremen: "Wir haben offensichtlich ebenso ein massives Problem mit islamistischem Antisemitismus oder auch linkem Antisemitismus zum Beispiel in Form der BDS-Kampagne. Aber es gibt auch einen Antisemitismus der Mitte." Alle Formen zusammen ergäben einen toxischen Mix.
Von der Bundespolitik fordert Leemhuis vor allem Sicherheit für die Juden in Deutschland. "Es ist wichtig, dass die jüdische Gemeinschaft in der ganzen Republik jetzt geschützt wird. Und zwar jede Gemeinde und jede einzelne Institution." Den Worten müssten endlich Taten folgen. "Es ist zum Beispiel irritierend zu sehen, dass gerade im Bundesfamilienministerium Projekten zur Antisemitismusprävention die Mittel massiv gekürzt werden und wichtigen Projekten die finanzielle Grundlage entzogen wird", so Leemhuis. pm, ots
