Eines vorweg: Die aktuelle Bundesliga-Tabelle zeigt ein wahrhaft historisches Bild: Den Tabellenersten (Borussia Mönchengladbach) und den Tabellenneunten (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) trennen lächerliche zwei Punkte. Diese Tabellensituation hat deshalb den Begriff "historisch" verdient, weil es solch eine Konstellation nach dem 8. Spieltag noch nicht gab.
Spannung ist also am 9. Bundesliga-Spieltag am kommenden Wochenende garantiert. Beim ewigen Klassiker in der Veltins Arena dürfte Schalke als (leichter) Favorit ins Rennen gehen. Beide Teams trennen in der Tabelle gerade ein Punkt. Schalke (7.) ist nach einem unnötigen Unentschieden im Heimspiel gegen Köln und einer genauso unnötigen Auswärtsniederlage in Hoffenheim zwar etwas angeschlagen, trotzdem stimmte das spielerische Potenzial "bis 20 Meter vor dem gegnerischen Tor". Der BVB (4.) kommt mit einer 2:0 Champions-League-Niederlage gegen den direkten Konkurrenten, Inter Mailand, im Gepäck nach Gelsenkirchen.
Die Erwartungen hat der BVB nicht erfüllt
Der BVB hat sich für diese Saison viel vorgenommen. Die Mannschaft will einmal mehr die Bayern "angreifen". Obwohl die Chancen noch nie so gut standen, weil die Münchner schwächeln, finden die Dortmunder keine Konstanz. Das dürfte an das Nervenkostüm der Spieler und des Vereins gehen, wenn die hochgesteckten Erwartungen nicht erfüllt werden.
Es offenbarten sich alte Schwächen
Bei den Schalker offenbarte sich in den letzten beiden Spielen alte Schwächen: Wenn es um das Tore schießen geht, ist die Mannschaft meist mit ihrem Latein am Ende. Darüber hinaus zeigte der momentan viel gelobte Harit bei der TSG Hoffenheim wohl bekannte "Fummelschwächen". Im Klartext: Er "fummelte um des Fummelns willen" und hatte dabei keinen wirklichen Zug zum Tor. Publikumsliebling Burgstaller klebt als Stürmer leider das Pech an den Schuhen. Er trifft einfach das Tor nicht. Und Uth ist, mit Verlaub, in der Attacke-Abteilung leider ein "Missverständnis". Dem Verein ist deshalb zu raten, sich in der Winterpause nach "stürmischen" Alternativen umzusehen.
"Lehrer" David Wagner bringt die Mannschaft auf Kurs
Kompliment dagegen an den neuen S04-Coach David Wagner, der offenbar deutlich mehr aus der Mannschaft herausholen kann, als sein Vorgänger Tedesco. Nichts gegen seinen Vorgänger, aber Wagner tritt einfach lockerer und souveräner als dieser auf. Vielleicht liegt es an seiner Ausbildung als Lehrer, der aus seinen "Schülern" einfach immer das beste herausholen will und kann. mei
