Die langjährige CDU-Politikerin Hildegard Müller soll Präsidentin des Verbandes der Automobilindustrie (VDA) werden.
Das hat der Fachdienst "Tagesspiegel Background & Mobilität" aus Branchenkreisen erfahren. Müller, die bis vor kurzem Vorstandsmitglied des Energiekonzerns Innogy war, stelle sich derzeit einzelnen VDA-Vorstandsmitgliedern vor. Müller war auch jahrelang Hauptgeschäftsführerin des Energieverbandes BDEW. Noch im November solle die Nachfolge des bisherigen VDA-Präsidenten Bernhard Mattes beschlossen werden. Nur Außenseiterchancen habe der bisherige EU-Haushaltskommissar Günther Oettinger. Zuvor war der ehemalige SPD-Vorsitzende und Außenminister, Sigmar Gabriel, für den Posten im Gespräch.
