"Verbraucher zahlen schon seit Monaten Rekordpreise für Strom", sagt Lasse Schmid, Geschäftsführer Energie bei CHECK24. "Daran wird sich auch 2020 nichts ändern. Verbraucher sollten jetzt aktiv werden und ihren Stromanbieter wechseln, um hohe Stromkosten zu vermeiden." Auch die Gasgrundversorger erhöhen die Preise. Insgesamt 57 Versorger erhöhen die Preise um durchschnittlich 6,3 Prozent. Das betrifft rund 850.000 Haushalte in Deutschland. 186 basic suppliers are increasing their electricity prices at the turn of the year or have already done so in recent weeks. On average, the price increases amount to 5.3 percent and affect around 2.2 million households. For a model household with a consumption of 5,000 kWh, this means additional costs of an average of 82 euros per year. Price reductions, on the other hand, have not yet taken place.
"Consumers have been paying record prices for electricity for months," says Lasse Schmid, Managing Director Energy at CHECK24. "Nothing will change in 2020. Consumers should now become active and change their electricity provider in order to avoid high electricity costs". Also the gas basic suppliers increase the prices. Altogether 57 suppliers increase the prices by on the average 6.3 per cent. That concerns approximately 850,000 households in Germany.
