Dort müssen sich die Mieter der mehr als 1200 Wohnungen darauf einstellen, dass Rasen und Hecken künftig seltener geschnitten werden, um Insekten und Vögel anzulocken.
"Wir brauchen eine Blumenwiese statt einen kurz geschnittenen englischen Rasen", sagte Heide Naderer, Vorsitzende des Nabu in NRW, der WAZ. Vonovia-Chef Rolf Buch meldet den Anspruch an, Vorreiter beim Naturschutz zu werden. "Wir wollen unsere Siedlungen lebenswerter machen", sagte Buch. "Natürlich macht es Sinn, mehr Natur an alle unsere Standorte zu bringen. Als Marktführer muss man auch führen."
Vonovia ist der erste Immobilienkonzern, mit dem der Nabu eine Partnerschaft eingeht. "Das Potenzial dieser Kooperation ist groß. Vonovia hat bundesweit rund 350.000 Wohnungen im Bestand. In den Quartieren erreichen wir pro Projekt mehrere Hundert Mieter", sagte Nabu-Bundesgeschäftsführer Leif Miller. pm, ots
