Auf jeden in den Praxen erwirtschafteten Euro kommen zusätzlich noch etwa 1,10 Euro Wertschöpfung in anderen Bereichen hinzu (zum Beispiel Zulieferer, kreditfinanzierende Banken etc.). Und jeder Arbeitsplatz in einer Praxis schafft 0,6 weitere Arbeitsplätze außerhalb dieser. Über 600.000 Arbeitsplätze in Deutschland sind unmittelbar mit den zahnärztlichen Praxen verbunden.
Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt die Bundeszahnärztekammer (BZÄK) auf Basis der aktuellsten Berechnungen des Zahnärztlichen Satellitenkontos (ZSK). Es basiert auf der anerkannten Methodik der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnungen und kann die wirtschaftliche Bedeutung der zahnärztlichen Versorgung quantifizieren. Neu ist in diesem Jahr der Fokus auf die ambulante Versorgung. Hierbei zeigt sich, dass die in eigener Praxis niedergelassenen Zahnärzte nicht nur für eine im internationalen Vergleich sehr gute Mundgesundheit ihrer Patienten sorgen, sondern auch einen wesentlichen Beitrag zu Wirtschaft und Beschäftigung in Deutschland leisten. pm, ots

There are 50,022 dentists in Germany. Approximately 335,000 further persons are employed in the dental practices. Each active dentist has an average of 4.6 additional employees. If the outpatient practices did not exist, Germany's gross domestic product would be 36.4 billion euros lower.
1.10 euros of added value in other areas (e.g. suppliers, credit financing banks, etc.) would be added to every euro generated in the practices. And each job in a practice creates 0.6 additional jobs outside these. Over 600,000 jobs in Germany are directly linked to dental practices.
This is the conclusion reached by the German Dental Association (BZÄK) on the basis of the latest calculations of the Dental Satellite Account (ZSK). It is based on the recognised methodology of national accounts and can quantify the economic importance of dental care. New this year is the focus on outpatient care.
