Dort wird eine zusätzliche Referentenstelle für Reden und strategische Beratung geschaffen, die David Simon übernehmen soll, der bisherige Büroleiter der Fraktionsvorsitzenden im Bundestag, Katrin Göring-Eckardt. Schon seit einer Weile bekommen die Grünen zu spüren, dass ihre bisherigen Strukturen den gestiegenen Anforderungen kaum noch standhalten. So stieg auch die Zahl der Mitglieder in den vergangenen Jahren stark. Während die Partei Ende 2017 noch auf rund 65.000 Mitglieder kam, sind es mittlerweile 95.000. Bundesgeschäftsführer Kellner hat vor kurzem eine Kampagne gestartet, um die 100.000er Marke zu knacken.
Grüne wollen zehn Millionen Euro für den Wahlkampf ausgeben
Auch der Wahlkampfetat soll bei der nächsten Bundestagswahl höher ausfallen als je zuvor. Mindestens zehn Millionen Euro veranschlagt Kellner, 2017 lag der Etat noch bei rund sechs Millionen Euro. Die SPD hatte bei der letzten Bundestagswahl einen Etat von 27 Millionen Euro zur Verfügung, etwa vier Mal so viel wie die Grünen. pm, ots
