"Meine Eltern und Freunde machen sich große Sorgen, auch ich habe etwas Angst." Der Sprachstudent, der im nordrhein-westfälischen Moers geboren und aufgewachsen ist, lebt seit vergangenem September in Wuhan. Ende Januar sollte sein Aufenthalt dort enden.
Spekulationen über eine mögliche Evakuierung weckten Hoffnung bei Ay und nach seinen Angaben auch bei anderen deutschen Staatsbürgern, die sich in der Stadt aufhalten. "Es hieß, dass in den nächsten Tagen eine deutsche Maschine hier landen soll", sagte Ay. "Möglicherweise können wir dann schon am Wochenende ausfliegen. Wir wissen aber im Moment noch nicht einmal, wie wir zum Flughafen kommen sollen." Unbestätigten Angaben zufolge sollen dann aber nur deutsche Staatsbürger mit einem chinesischen Einreisestempel im Pass ausgeflogen werden. Das könnte Ehepartner und Kinder aus deutsch-chinesischen Mischehen ausschließen. "Möglicherweise kann die Bundesregierung da ja noch was erreichen in den Verhandlungen mit den Chinesen, um auch chinesische Ehepartner und Kinder aus Mischehen auszufliegen", sagte Ay.
Wegen Coronavirus: Autozulieferer muss sein Werk schließen
Unterdessen hat die Ausbreitung des Coronavirus in China nun auch wirtschaftliche Auswirkungen auf Sachsen-Anhalt. Der Autozulieferer Ifa aus Haldensleben musste auf Anordnung der chinesischen Behörden sein Werk in Shanghai schließen. "Bis zum 9. Februar ruht dort die Produktion", sagte Geschäftsführer Arno Haselhorst der in Halle erscheinenden Mitteldeutschen Zeitung. Die 180 Mitarbeiter müssten zu Hause bleiben. Nach dem 9. Februar soll es laut Haselhorst im Betrieb erhöhte Hygienevorschriften geben. "Auf Anordnung der Behörden soll dann auch bei jeder Person, die die Fabrik betritt oder verlässt die Temperatur gemessen werden", erläutert Haselhorst. Ein deutscher Ifa-Mitarbeiter bleibe vorerst in Shanghai, Geschäftsreisen nach China seien gestrichen worden.
Unternehmen kann keinen Großauftrag mehr abwickeln
Das Magdeburger Unternehmen Lehnert Regelungstechnik, das Steuerungstechnik für Kräne produziert, kann aktuell einen Großauftrag nicht abwickeln. "Wir erreichen unseren Abnehmer in China nicht", sagt Geschäftsführerin Bettina Lehnert. Nach Angaben des Außenwirtschaftsexperten Andreas Müller von der Industrie- und Handelskammer Magdeburg (IHK) sind Firmen in Sachsen-Anhalt bisher nur vereinzelt betroffen. "Das ändert sich natürlich, sollte die Logistik etwa im Frachtflugverkehr gestört werden", so Müller. Auf MZ-Anfrage teilte der Logistiker DHL mit, dass am europäischen Frachtflugdrehkreuz in Leipzig/Halle bisher alle China-Flüge planmäßig erfolgen. Unternehmen aus Sachsen-Anhalt importierten 2019 Waren im Wert von 1,3 Milliarden Euro aus China - vor allem Elektronik und Textilien. Because of Coronavirus: automotive supplier must close its plant
Meanwhile, the spread of the coronavirus in China is now also having economic effects on Saxony-Anhalt. The automotive supplier Ifa from Haldensleben had to close its plant in Shanghai by order of the Chinese authorities.
