In Deutschland seien mittlerweile 902 Menschen von dem Virus infiziert. Ein deutscher Staatsbürger ist in Ägypten an dem neuen Lungenvirus gestorben. Italien meldet aktuell 7600 Infizierte, 360 Menschen sind an dem Virus gestorben. Weltweit gibt es nach offiziellen Angaben rund 100.000 Personen, die mit dem Virus infiziert sind. Die Dunkelziffer soll aber deutlich höher liegen. In China, dem Ursprungsland des Virus, soll die Zahl der Neuerkrankungen deutlich zurückgegangen sein.
