"Patienten verschieben Vorsorgeuntersuchungen beim Allgemeinmediziner oder Hautarzt, sie sagen Termine beim Psychotherapeuten ab, weil sie fürchten, sich anzustecken. In der Abrechnung zum zweiten Quartal dürften wir sehen, dass die Corona-Krise tiefe Spuren in der ambulanten Versorgung hinterlässt." Bergmann forderte, dass Bundesgesundheitsminister und Kassen Wort halten: "Den Praxen sollen die Umsatzausfälle und die Ausgaben für Schutzmaterial erstattet werden. Frank Bergmann, the head of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in North Rhine-Westphalia, has sounded the alarm: "I assume that almost every practice in North Rhine-Westphalia will have to go under the protective umbrella and will make use of state aid. Many have lost more than ten percent of their turnover," says Bergmann.
Bergmann told the Düsseldorf newspaper "Rheinische Post". In some practices, the turnover had literally collapsed, the KV boss continued.
"Patients postpone preventive medical check-ups with general practitioners or dermatologists, they cancel appointments with psychotherapists because they are afraid of getting infected. In the second quarter accounts, we should see that the corona crisis is leaving a deep mark on outpatient care. Bergmann demanded that federal health ministers and insurance companies keep their word: "The practices should be reimbursed for lost sales and expenses for protective material.
