Der SPD-Politiker sieht neben dem "Einnahmeaspekt für den Staat" auch noch einen weiteren Grund, weshalb es gilt, die Deutsche Fußball-Liga (DFL) in ihrem Bestreben, die Saison zu beenden, zu unterstützen. "Am Profifußball hängen auch viele Arbeitsplätze. Ein Verein, der einmal in die Insolvenz gegangen ist, kommt so schnell nicht wieder. Das gilt natürlich auch für Firmen, aber für diese gibt es Zuschüsse und Subventionen, für Profivereine nicht. Von daher wäre es gut, wenn man vermeiden kann, dass Teile des Fußballs in die Grätsche gehen."

Die DFL arbeitet derzeit an einem Konzept für die Wiederaufnahme des Spielbetriebs. Laut Pistorius müsse dieses vor allem folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen: "Die Sicherheit muss gewährleistet sein, die medizinischen Aspekte müssen stimmen, und der Profifußball muss das selbst finanzieren - daran darf es überhaupt keinen Zweifel geben." Die DFL müsse "ein durchexerziertes Programm" vorlegen. "Ein solches Konzept kostet richtig Geld", sagt der 60-Jährige. Auch deshalb könne man dieses nicht auf andere Sportarten übertragen. Zudem müssten die Vereine gewährleisten, dass sich vor den Stadien keine Fans versammeln. "Wir werden in diesen Zeiten nicht die Polizei rausschicken, um Ansammlungen von Fans vor Fußballstadien zu verhindern. Das wird die Aufgabe der Vereine und Stadionbetreiber sein."
Bundesligastart am 9. Mai?
Einen Start am 9. Mai, wie von Bundesgesundheitsminister Jens Spahn und den Ministerpräsidenten Markus Söder (Bayern) und Armin Laschet (NRW) propagiert, hält er für wenig realistisch. Da sei "eher der Wunsch Vater des Gedankens", sagt Pistorius. Die Vorbereitungszeit für die Spieler, aber auch für die Vereine und die Politik sei zu kurz. Die Installation des Konzeptes benötige einen Vorlauf. "Wenn es eine oder zwei Wochen später ist, ist das für alle Beteiligten besser als ein voreiliger Neustart", so der SPD-Politiker. Ein Neustart würde zudem "unter dem klaren Vorbehalt stehen, dass sich das Infektionsgeschehen in den nächsten zehn bis 14 Tagen maßgeblich zum Nachteil verändert.
