Der Ifo-Index der Produktionserwartungen stieg im Mai auf minus 20,4 nach minus 51,0 Punkten im April. Das ist zwar der größte Anstieg des Index zum Vormonat seit der Wiedervereinigung. „Aber das bedeutet nur, dass der Sturzflug nun flacher wird“, sagt der Leiter der Ifo-Befragungen, Klaus Wohlrabe.
Einzig die Erwartungen in der Autobranche sind optimistisch.
Der Indikator stieg im Mai auf plus 23 Punkte nach minus 41 im April. „Das ist keine Überraschung, nachdem die Produktion vielerorts nahezu komplett eingestellt worden war“, sagt Wohlrabe. Die Hersteller pharmazeutischer Erzeugnisse erwarten einen schwachen Rückgang ihrer Produktion. Der Index fiel auf minus drei Punkte nach plus 14 im April. In der Bekleidungsindustrie bleibt die Stimmung extrem pessimistisch. Der Index fiel im Mai auf minus 88 Punkte nach minus 72 im April.
In der Metallerzeugung und -bearbeitung sowie bei der Herstellung von Metall-Erzeugnissen stiegen die Erwartungen auf minus 36 Punkte im Mai, bei den Herstellern elektrischer Ausrüstungen auf minus 34 Punkte, im Maschinenbau auf minus 33 Punkte. In der Chemie und bei Herstellern von Druckerzeugnissen auf minus 20 Punkte. Bei den Herstellern von Nahrungs- und Futtermitteln auf minus 5 Punkte.
Der Index weiter im negativen Bereich
In der Herstellung von Leder, Lederwaren und Schuhen stieg der Index stark von minus 97 auf minus 27 Punkte im Mai. Bei den Herstellern von Getränken stieg der Index auf minus 26 Punkte nach minus 78 Punkten im April. In der Herstellung von Möbel stieg der Index auf minus 31 Punkte nach minus 76 im April. German industry expects a further decline in production over the next three months, albeit more slowly than before. The Ifo index of production expectations rose to minus 20.4 points in May after minus 51.0 points in April.
