Mit Blick auf die durch eine Aufnahme von Menschen aus dem abgebrannten Lager befürchtete Sogwirkung auf andere Flüchtlinge erklärte Neher: "Ich kann das Gerede um den Pull-Effekt nicht mehr hören. In Europa leben wir vergleichsweise gut und in Frieden, in ganz vielen Ländern ist das mitnichten der Fall, und in einer globalisierten Welt weiß man um dieses Gefälle.
