Dem "Tagesspiegel" sagte sie: "Die Maßnahme ist bisher nicht beschlossen worden. Wenn, dann ginge es ja nur um die Freizeit und die Kinder hätten trotzdem weiterhin Kontakte in Kita und Schule - oft sind das die wichtigsten Freundinnen und Freunde. Und außerdem begegnen sich viele Grundschulkinder und Jugendliche über digitale Möglichkeiten, um miteinander zum Beispiel Hausaufgaben zu machen oder Spiele zu spielen.
Anders als im März und April soll nun ja nicht jeder Kontakt zu Gleichaltrigen vermieden werden. Das sei also schon noch ein Unterschied. Und bei allem, was gerade an Einschränkungen und Verzicht nötig ist, sei Giffey wichtig, auch Mut zu machen. Alle sollten daran denken, dass das alles nicht ewig geht und auch wieder unbeschwertere Zeiten kommen.
Schließungen von Kitas und Schulen
Giffey hält es für möglich, dass es unter bestimmten Vorraussetzungen doch noch zu Schließungen von Kitas und Schulen kommen könnte. Dem "Tagesspiegel" sagte sie: "Angesichts der Infektionszahlen kann sich natürlich niemand sicher sein, dass wir nicht doch an einen Punkt kommen, an dem Kita- und Schulschließungen unumgänglich sind. Ich sage nur ganz klar: Das darf nicht unser erstes, sondern muss unser letztes Mittel sein."
Müssen uns allen viel zumuten
Zu der Frage, ob die Beschlüsse des Treffens von Bundesregierung und Kanzleramt gerade Familien nicht zu viel zumuten, sagte Giffey: "Leider müssen wir wegen der Pandemie uns allen viel zumuten. Gerade die Beschränkungen bei den privaten Kontakten treffen viele Menschen sehr hart, aber das ist sorgfältig abgewogen und derzeit notwendig." pm, ots
