"Wir haben immer noch eine angespannte Grenzlage und verstärkte Fahndungskontrollen". Hinzu komme eine massive Anforderung von Kräften für die Demonstrationen von Kritikern der Corona-Maßnahmen. "Auch sind wir derzeit Corona-technisch selbst geschwächt. 2000 Beamte befinden sich regelmäßig in Quarantäne. Da wünsche ich mir von der Politik ein bisschen mehr Realismus", sagte Hüber. "Die Bundespolizei als Begleitschutz für den Impfstoff heranzuziehen, ist aus meiner Sicht derzeit nicht möglich."
Gesundheitsämter sind zuständig
Für den Schutz der Impfzentren seien die Gesundheitsämter zuständig, die dafür private Sicherheitsdienste anheuern könnten. "Erst wenn das LKA in seiner Gefährdungsbeurteilung zu dem Schluss kommt, dass ein Einsatz der Polizei nötig ist und diese zahlenmäßig nicht ausreicht, könnten wir im Zuge eines Amtshilfeersuchens oder zur Unterstützung des Landespolizei tätig werden", erläuterte Hüber. "Ich glaube, dass Sicherheitsrisiken in den Impfzentren nicht so sehr wegen einer Diebstahlgefahr bestehen. Zumindest sind sie unwahrscheinlich aufgrund der Bedingungen, unter denen der Impfstoff gelagert werden muss. Ob die Zentren oder Lager aber Ziel von Attacken werden könnten, muss von den Landeskriminalämtern beurteilt werden. Auszuschließen sind sie nicht."
Der GdP-Vize forderte, dass die Bundespolizisten zügig bei der Impfung an die Reihe kommen: "Wichtig wäre, dass die Bundespolizisten vorrangig geimpft werden. Das könnten wir auch selbst übernehmen. Dazu wären 51.000 Impfdosen nötig." pm, ots
