Wer unter sechzig ist, hat Anspruch auf die Masken, wenn mindestens einer der folgenden Risikofaktoren liegt: Diabetes Typ-2, COPD bzw. Asthma, Herzinsuffizienz, Schlaganfall oder Demenz, aktive Krebserkrankung, Transplantation oder schwere Niereninsuffizienz.
Patienten wird empfohlen, eine entsprechende Eigenerklärung auszufüllen und mit in die Apotheke zu bringen. ABDA-Präsident Friedemann Schmidt (Bundesvereinigung Deutscher Apothekerverbände) appelliert in diesem Zusammenhang an die Patienten: "Wir bitten darum, dass nicht alle gleich heute kommen. Wir können nicht alle Berechtigten an einem Tag versorgen, und die benötigten Masken werden auch erst nach und nach in die Apotheken geliefert. Lange Schlangen vor der Offizin wollen wir auch aus Gründen des Infektionsschutzes so gut es geht vermeiden. Die Patienten haben Zeit bis 6. Januar, sich die Masken abzuholen. Die Apotheken bleiben auch im Lockdown geöffnet."
Rund 27 Millionen Patienten sind berechtigt
Rund 27 Millionen Patienten sind berechtigt, bis zum Jahresende drei kostenlose FFP2-Masken zu beziehen. Schmidt: "Wir rechnen mit einem enormen Kundenandrang. Durchschnittlich kommen zusätzlich rund 1500 Patienten auf jede der knapp 19.000 Apotheken. Das stellt die Apotheken vor einen enormen Mehraufwand in der Beschaffung, Prüfung und Abgabe der Masken." Die Marktsituation für FFP2-Masken ist unübersichtlich und die Einkaufspreise der Apotheken schwanken, auch durch die aktuell erhöhte Nachfrage. Schmidt: "Eine FFP2-Maske ist kein Freifahrtschein. Alle anderen Infektionsschutzregeln sollten weiterhin eingehalten werden. Dazu gehört Händewaschen, Abstand halten, Lüften und die Benutzung der Corona-Warn-App." pm, ots

From today until January 6, pharmacies will distribute three free FFP2 masks or masks of comparable quality to at-risk patients for protection against Corona infection. Patients who are at least 60 years old will receive the masks upon presentation of their ID card. Those under sixty are eligible for the masks if at least one of the following risk factors is present: Type 2 diabetes, COPD or asthma, heart failure, stroke or dementia, active cancer, transplantation or severe renal failure.
Patients are advised to fill out a corresponding self-declaration and bring it with them to the pharmacy. ABDA President Friedemann Schmidt (Federal Association of German Pharmacists) appeals to patients in this context: "We ask that not everyone come right away today. We cannot supply all those who are entitled to it on one day, and the masks required will also only be delivered to the pharmacies gradually. On average, there will be an additional 1,500 patients at each of the nearly 19,000 pharmacies. This presents pharmacies with an enormous amount of extra work in procuring, testing and dispensing the masks." The market situation for FFP2 masks is confusing and pharmacies' purchase prices fluctuate, partly due to the current increased demand. Schmidt: "An FFP2 mask is not a free pass.
