Die Slowakei schlägt die Polen mit Robert Lewandowski. Michael Ballack kritisierte die Polen und ihren Star.
"Ich weiß nicht, ob es das fehlende Zusammenspiel, dieses Vertrauen auch innerhalb der Mannschaft ist. Dass er immer wieder da ist und sich immer wieder anbietet und sie ihn immer wieder suchen. Sie wissen, dass er ihr überragender Spieler ist. Sie können eigentlich nur mit ihm. Es hat heute nicht funktioniert. Es hat für ihn nicht funktioniert. Ich glaube, er war 90 Minuten mehr oder weniger frustriert." Robert Lewandowski konnte in der 1. Halbzeit gerade einmal 21 Ballkontakte und 3 Schüsse verzeichnen.

Die Mannschaft ist zu schwach
Michael Ballack sagte zu Lewandowski: "Es war fast zu erwarten, dass er sich schwertun wird. Weil die Mannschaft, und das bestätigen sie, insgesamt zu schwach ist. Da kommt zu wenig Unterstützung. Da muss einfach von der Mannschaft mehr Mut und mehr Pressing Situationen kommen, um den Gegner auch mal vorne zu halten und das sahen wir überhaupt nicht."
Schottland - Tschechien 0:2
Schottland vergibt mehrere Chancen und muss sich am Ende Patrik Schick und den Tschechen geschlagen geben. Michael Ballack: "Die Schotten haben sich eigentlich nicht viel vorzuwerfen, nur dass sie eben in den entscheidenden Momenten auf so einem Niveau nicht aufgepasst haben, beziehungsweise Fehler gemacht haben. The team is too weak
Michael Ballack said of Lewandowski: "It was almost to be expected that he would struggle. Because the team, and they confirm this, is too weak overall. There is too little support. There simply has to be more courage from the team and more pressing situations to keep the opponent in front and we didn't see that at all."
Scotland - Czech Republic 0:2
Scotland missed several chances and in the end had to admit defeat to Patrik Schick and the Czechs.
