Der sozialpolitische Sprecher der christdemokratischen EVP-Fraktion im Europaparlament, Dennis Radtke (CDU), hat dafür plädiert, auf Ungarns umstrittenes Gesetz zu Homosexualität mit einem Vertragsverletzungsverfahren zu reagieren.
Im Inforadio vom rbb sagte der CDU-Politiker: "Frau von der Leyen hat gestern ganz klar von einem möglichen Vertragsverletzungsverfahren gesprochen, das die Kommission in Gang leiten will (...) und das halte ich auch für den richtigen Schritt. Und im Übrigen (...) fand ich es auch wichtig, dass jetzt auch mal öffentlich deutliche Worte gefunden werden - auch von der Kommissionsspitze aus."

Homosexuelle werden auf eine Stufe mit Kinderschändern gestellt
Das Erschreckende sei nicht nur die Gesetzgebung an sich, so Radke weiter. Erschreckend sei auch, in welche Ecke Homosexuelle durch das Gesetz gerückt würden: "Wenn Sie sich mal das 'Framing' ansehen - dass wir hier reden, von Gesetzen, die homosexuelle Menschen betreffen und (...) im gleichen Zusammenhang wird immer wieder davon gesprochen, "hier geht es um Schutz vor Pädophilen". Also das ist ja ein ganz widerliches 'Framing', (...) Homosexuelle in die gleiche Schublade stecken zu wollen wie Kinderschänder. Das ist etwas, das kennen wir von AfD und Konsorten aus der ganz ultrarechten Ecke. Und so etwas ist schlicht nicht akzeptabel - (...) da rollen sich mir die Fußnägel auf." pm, ots

The social policy spokesman of the Christian Democratic EPP group in the European Parliament, Dennis Radtke (CDU), has advocated reacting to Hungary's controversial law on homosexuality with an infringement procedure.
The CDU politician told rbb's Inforadio: "Yesterday, Ms von der Leyen spoke quite clearly about a possible infringement procedure that the Commission wants to initiate (...) and I think that is also the right step. And by the way (...) I also found it important that clear words are now being spoken publicly - also from the Commission's top."
Homosexuals are put on the same level as child molesters
What is frightening is not only the legislation itself, Radke continued. It is also frightening how homosexuals are put in a corner by the law: "If you look at the 'framing' - that we are talking about laws that affect homosexual people and (...) in the same context it is always said that 'this is about protection against paedophiles'. So that is a very disgusting 'framing', (...) wanting to put homosexuals in the same drawer as child molesters. That is something we know from the AfD and its ilk from the far right. And something like that is simply not acceptable - (...) it makes my toenails roll up."
