"Wenn sich tatsächlich im Herbst erneut eine Infektionswelle aufbauen sollte, gibt es keinen Lockdown-Automatismus mehr", sagte Blume dem "Tagesspiegel am Sonntag": "Dank umfassendem Impfschutz und massenhafter Testkapazitäten sollten uns dann andere Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung stehen."
Blume forderte zugleich den Fußballverband UEFA auf, sein Stadien-Konzept für die Europameisterschaft "noch einmal genau zu prüfen". "Niemandem ist geholfen, Europameister im Inzidenz-Höhenflug zu werden", sagte der CSU-Politiker. Die UEFA müsse Vorbild für Großereignisse sein. "Dazu gehört auch, die Maskenpflicht in Stadien durchzusetzen", sagte Blume dem "Tagesspiegel".
