Schwere Verläufe von Corona-Infektionen treffen in NRW immer häufiger jüngere Menschen.
Das geht aus einer Ergebung des Landeszentrum Gesundheit NRW (LZG) in Bochum hervor, die dem "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger" vorliegt. Danach waren von 891 Patienten, die zwischen dem 1. Juli und dem 10. August stationär in NRW-Kliniken behandelt wurden, 29,5 Prozent unter 40 Jahre alt. Auch Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene haben zum Teil schwere Verläufe. Der Anteil der unter 20-Jährigen liegt bei 8,2 Prozent. 30,9 Prozent der Patienten sind zwischen 40 und 60 Jahre alt. Laut LZG ist der ganz überwiegende Anteil der Patienten nicht oder nicht vollständig geimpft. 87,1 Prozent der im Krankenhaus Behandelten waren nicht oder nur teilweise geimpft, in einigen Fällen war der Impfstatus unklar.
Coronavirus ist in Deutschland heimisch geworden
NRW-Gesundheitsminister Karl-Josef Laumann sagte der Zeitung, das Coronavirus sei in Deutschland "heimisch" geworden. "Wer sich nicht impfen lässt, geht ein sehr hohes Risiko ein, ungeschützt zu erkranken, womöglich sogar sehr schwer zu erkranken und in der Beatmung zu landen", warnte der CDU-Politiker.
