Der kurze Prozess gegen Kolesnikowa dauerte nicht einmal fünf Wochen. Er wurde geheim geführt. Die Urteilsverkündung dagegen ließ Lukaschenko öffentlich zelebrieren, um seine unbeugsame Gegnerin in einem Käfig zur Schau zu stellen.
Das alles ist nicht nur unerträglich mit anzusehen. Es verstößt auch gegen rund ein Dutzend der 30 Artikel, aus denen die Allgemeine Erklärung der Menschenrechte besteht. Lukaschenko tritt all das mit Füßen. Er bezeichnet seine Landsleute ja auch gern als Vieh. Die gute Nachrichten lautet: Lukaschenkos Stärke ist mehr Schein als Sein. Sie beruht auf dem Prinzip Eskalation. Eine solche Herrschaft jedoch hat keine Perspektive. Am meisten Erfolg verspricht deshalb eine Politik der standhaften Nichtanerkennung und Sanktionierung.
