Der Kommandeur der Division Schnelle Kräfte, Generalmajor Andreas Hannemann, hat am 30. September während eines feierlichen Appells das Kommando über das Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK) von Brigadegeneral Markus Kreitmayr an Brigadegeneral Ansgar Meyer übergeben.
Seit Juni 2018 führte Kreitmayr als Kommandeur das KSK. Am 30. September wurde diese Zeit turnusmäßig beendet. Der scheidende Kommandeur wechselt als Abteilungsleiter Ausbildung in das Streitkräfteamt, die Kommando-behörde der Streitkräftebasis der Bundeswehr, nach Bonn. Mit Brigadegeneral Ansgar Meyer erhält das KSK einen erfahrenen Offizier mit zahlreichen Verwendungen in der Truppe und im Ministerium. Meyer führte das letzte deutsche Kontingent von Resolute Support in Afghanistan bis zum regulären Abzug der Truppen im Juni dieses Jahres.

The commander of the Rapid Forces Division, Major General Andreas Hannemann, handed over command of the Special Forces Command (KSK) from Brigadier General Markus Kreitmayr to Brigadier General Ansgar Meyer during a ceremonial roll call on 30 September.
Kreitmayr had led the KSK as commander since June 2018. On 30 September, this period came to an end in rotation. The outgoing commander is moving to Bonn as head of the Training Department at the Office of the Armed Forces, the command authority of the Armed Forces Base of the Bundeswehr. With Brigadier General Ansgar Meyer, the KSK is gaining an experienced officer with numerous assignments in the armed forces and in the ministry. Meyer led the last German Resolute Support contingent in Afghanistan until the regular withdrawal of the troops in June this year.
