Im Vergleich zu prägenden Persönlichkeiten an der Parlamentsspitze vor ihr fehlt es Bas an Profil, Erfahrung und Strahlkraft. Klar, all das kann sie gewinnen. Es wäre stillos, Bärbel Bas vorab die Eignung abzusprechen. Aber sie startet mit einem Handicap, und das verdankt sie ihrer eigenen Partei. Die SPD hat mit ihrer Nominierung die Bedeutung dieses hohen Amtes nicht hinreichend gewürdigt.
